Mong Gyu Chung, Chairman of HDC, delivered 100 million Won to PyeongChang Olympic teams in prize money

 

- A ceremony was held to encourage Olympic success and award prize money at Seoul Olympic Parktel on January 23rd.
- Support was provided to “Wellness Resort Park Roche,” lodging for Olympic officials from all over the world.
 
Mong Gyu Chung, Chairman of HDC, delivered 100 million won in prize money to Olympic teams in a final spurt of preparation for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games at Seoul Olympic Parktel on the morning of January 23rd.
 
A ceremony to award the prize money was attended by 30 people including Gi Heung Lee of the Korea Sport & Olympic Committee; Jae Geun Lee, Olympic Village Headman; Chung Ryeol Chun, Secretary-General; Ji Yong Kim, Head Delegate of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games; Mong Gyu Chung, Chairman of HDC; Dae Chul Kim, CEO of HDC; and Geun Yang Yuk, Head of the Management Planning Division. This ceremony was meant to wish the Korean athletes a good fight and success at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

 

In a congratulatory remark, Mong Gyu Chung, Chairman of HDC, said, “I firmly believe the enthusiasm of all the executives present here and the Olympic teams will be combined with interest and support from the whole nation to touch the hearts of people all around the world. I hope that you will do your best to the end and give great pride to the whole nation.”
 
Chairman Mong Gyu Chung supported the Korean Olympic teams as Head of the Delegation for Teams at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016 as well, making effort to induce the development of sports in Korea as President of the Korea Football Association, a Member of the FIFA Council, and Vice President of the Korea Football Association.
 
To ensure the success of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, HDC has provided support for lodging infrastructure. The company plans to use Wellness Resort Park Roche, opened in Jeongseon-gun in Gangwon Province on January 22nd (Mon.), as lodging for Olympic officials from all over the world during the Olympic Games. Equipped with various wellness programs, this resort will start operation in earnest in March when the Olympic Games have concluded.
